Fees

Referrals for psychological assessment and treatment services are often funded (fully or partly) through various agents including:

  • Private Health Insurance,
  • Motor Vehicle Accident Insurance,
  • Criminal Injury compensation funds,
  • Medicare (Australian Government Health system).

If the matter is psycho-legal based, all referrals that are eligible for relevant funding should best be directed through the client's legal representative (Legal practitioner referral).

If the referral is for Mental Health treatment and/or assessment referrals should best made through the client's General Practitioner (Medical Practitioner referral).

If the referral is a Medicare referral AND the client has a Mental Health Care Plan (Medicare item number 2710) from the General Practitioner the service will either be free (Bulk billing) or significantly subsidized.

All fees charged are based on standardized fee rates set by relevant professional bodies.

The fee rates vary depending upon the nature of the work and the skill level involved.
